Brucifire chats up Amal (or visa versa) as the Moroccan Princess claims her share of the Supertubes waves rolling in with the recent south swell.

Supertubes

Supertubes can certainly handle a crowd. Plenty of waves going by without even drivers. The end section begging for attention. As happens at high tide Supers so often.

Conditions

It is still May and the weather is glorious. This won’t last as the customary cold fronts of winter start booking their slots. To sweep the country cold but offshore. And giving birth to swell after swell after swell.

Heading North

JBay is the main attraction down thataway. But if you want to surf warmer water and conditions, head north to the Transkei. Or KZN. Or go beyond the sub-tropics all the way into the real tropics of Mozambique. Where wetsuits just stay in the bag. And those swells arrive airbrushed to perfection after their long journey from the southern ocean.
